Online Marketing Blog – Getting Started

Everyday thousands of new websites and content ends up online, someone went through the trouble of coming up with idea, they took the time to design their site, in some cases they paid a fair amount of money to have a site designed and in some cases even established brick & morter business have paid upwards of $10,000 to have a site designed. In fact some are really pretty and come with all the bells and whistles. Yet they all lack the one thing that will make them any money and that is traffic.

I created this ONLINE MARKETING BLOG to help you make sense of all of the stuff that out there about marketing online and compile it and present it in such a way that its fun, makes sense and easy to use. I started marketing online when we were still using ip addresses and picking out your domain name was just getting started. (that makes me one of those internet seniors)

Over those years I have bought pretty well every online marketing tool, product, newsletter and online marketing scripts. I have had the opportunity to test these products, assess what works and what doesn’t, so you could say that I am considered by many to be a bit of an expert when it comes to marketing online.

My goal is to help you 1) take your website and ccreate killer content that gets noticed and 2) teach you more advanced online marketing strategies that will make your site rock with traffic.

For our first lesson I am going to use this site as an example:

You want to do some homework on what people are searching for online before you go ahead and try to market something in a niche that gets no traffic
This site started because I have always had a real passion for marketing online, but a little research had shown me that online and internet marketing were had a lot of competition in google, so what I did is I used google’s search term tool I was looking for keywords that got between 3500 and 7000 global views a month and had very little competition. (I will make a video about this lesson)
You then pick out a domain name that best fits that key word structure.

So you noticed that we did not start with the product or service we started with the homework, found a niche for marketing online and then doing the correct things that I will show you in the next few posts will show you have to drive some stupid crazy traffic to your site
